Rugs of Afghanistan

Knotted in small villages throughout Afghanistan using hand spun Afghan wool and vegetable dyes, these rugs have taken inspiration from many cultures, including Pakistan, Turkmenistan & Uzbekistan. Afghanistan rugs have maintained unique and consistent patterns for decades and often boast large geometric shapes. A large rug can take 6 to 9 months to weave due to level of craftsmanship and diligence in creating these brilliant displays.
